Privacy Policy

Plain-English data protection standards for Android developers using AppBanana.

At AppBanana (appbanana.io), operated from India, we help Android app developers pass the Google Play closed testing requirement (12 testers for 14 days) to unlock production access. Your privacy is critical to us. We write our policies in plain English so you know exactly how your data is handled.

Please note that this policy applies to our current manual communication flow (managed primarily via WhatsApp). It will be updated accordingly when our self-serve SaaS dashboard is launched.

1. The Data We Collect

We only collect the minimum amount of data required to fulfill our testing services and communicate with you about your orders:

Contact Information: Your name and email address (collected via WhatsApp or our website contact form).
WhatsApp Details: Your phone number and chat logs relative to your orders.
App & Console Details: Your Google Play Console developer info, app name, package ID, test track invite links, and specific testing instructions you share with us.
Payment Information: All payments are processed securely via Razorpay. We do not store or process your credit/debit card numbers or bank account details on our servers.
Device & Browser Data: IP address, device type, operating system, and browser information collected automatically when you visit our website.
Usage & Tracking Data: Behavior data, session recordings, heatmaps, and conversion tracking collected via cookies and tracking pixels.

2. Third Parties We Share Data With

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data with third parties. We share data only with trusted partners and service providers necessary to operate our service:

Razorpay: To process payments securely.
Google Analytics 4 (GA4): To analyze website traffic and user engagement.
Microsoft Clarity:To record user sessions and view heatmaps to improve our site's user experience.
Google Ads: To track marketing conversions and run targeted ad campaigns.
Our Testing Team: We share your Google Play app link, package name, and testing instructions with our internal testers. We never share your personal developer details (name, phone, email, or payment logs) with our testing team.

3. Data Retention

We keep your data only as long as necessary to comply with the law, fulfill our business contracts, or satisfy regulatory requirements:

Order Data: Saved for 2 years after service completion to assist with re-verifications or issues.
Payment Records: Kept for 7 years to comply with Indian GST and tax audits.
Analytics Data: Retained in accordance with platform defaults (14 months for Google Analytics 4).
Unconverted Leads: If you contact us but do not purchase, your contact data and messages are deleted after 6 months.

4. Your Data Rights

We respect your rights regarding your personal data:

Right to Access: You can request a summary of the personal data we hold about you.
Right to Correction: You can request that we update or correct inaccurate personal data.
Right to Erasure: You can request that we delete your personal data (subject to our legal tax and bookkeeping retention requirements).

5. Security

We employ industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical security measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, loss, or alteration.
